So this late weekend, over a creative weekend sleepover with . We're planning to go to Fanime 2013 in San Jose and we've been trying to finish up our cosplays.
So far I believe that I'm going as three cosplays (Kiki, Fem Tony, and possibly pikachu). Though later on through out the day we had some time to kill so we decided to do an impromptu photoshoot. It was pretty interesting, like before hands I had reviewed some tutorials on cosplay photography.

Cosplay Photography was actually pretty hard because at first I thought was, let's get the lighting right and everything else will look great but the time we decided to shoot was still early afternoon so the sun was pretty high in the sky so I had to make Shannon look up the whole time or else under her bangs it would just be really dark. We tried to do some Gumi like poses with the finger pointing and what not, but to make them look interesting I either shot at an angle or zoomed pretty close in to keep the photo tight. Many of my favorite shots were the improvised shots such as the ones that involved the crochet mallet. The colors and shannon's expression were the cutest thing with keeping Gumi's edge.


Though another one of my favorite concepts were the ones of Shannon jumping, I had to change the setting to continuous shooting but still there were shots where it didn't actually catch the jump, it got the rise and fall and I was just like rage quit man. Though props to Shannon because keeping a straight face and hands in pockets while jumping is actually pretty hard.


Getting to the creative weekend part lol, we actually were only partially creative, Jackie finished part of her shirt for her Katara cosplay and we found a pretty flower for Leyna's cosplay at the dollar tree. Pretty Legit. I really need to get started on my own cosplay though, I need to:
-get the fabric for my kiki cosplay
-wait for the parts to arrive from the mail for ebay and then make the thing for fem tony cosplay (iron-man)
-pay for my fanime badge. GAH.

So much to get done, lordie.
