 So what's up! Some updates and goals for this year. 

• Friends of mine will be selling amazing stuff at SacAnime (Will update this with their names)
• 
• If time allows, I'll be at Fanime this year. I won't be cosplaying but I will be wearing a snazzy shirt. 
• I'm going to start making more goods like prints and objects so that when I do decide to start selling at cons, I'll have a ready supply to go
• Will be revising commission prices with new prices as well as new examples when I can

Among the list of some of my favorite things, Kiki's Delivery Service is pretty high. Something about the story of a young girl going off on her own and going on adventures, going through bouts of highs and lows, and in the end becoming strong enough with herself to fly once again. That said, here are some links to some pretty cute crafts and notions related with the movie. 

So this late weekend, over a creative weekend sleepover with . We're planning to go to Fanime 2013 in San Jose and we've been trying to finish up our cosplays.
So far I believe that I'm going as three cosplays (Kiki, Fem Tony, and possibly pikachu). Though later on through out the day we had some time to kill so we decided to do an impromptu photoshoot. It was pretty interesting, like before hands I had reviewed some tutorials on cosplay photography.

Cosplay Photography was actually pretty hard because at first I thought was, let's get the lighting right and everything else will look great but the time we decided to shoot was still early afternoon so the sun was pretty high in the sky so I had to make Shannon look up the whole time or else under her bangs it would just be really dark. We tried to do some Gumi like poses with the finger pointing and what not, but to make them look interesting I either shot at an angle or zoomed pretty close in to keep the photo tight. Many of my favorite shots were the improvised shots such as the ones that involved the crochet mallet. The colors and shannon's expression were the cutest thing with keeping Gumi's edge.

Though another one of my favorite concepts were the ones of Shannon jumping, I had to change the setting to continuous shooting but still there were shots where it didn't actually catch the jump, it got the rise and fall and I was just like rage quit man. Though props to Shannon because keeping a straight face and hands in pockets while jumping is actually pretty hard.

Getting to the creative weekend part lol, we actually were only partially creative, Jackie finished part of her shirt for her Katara cosplay and we found a pretty flower for Leyna's cosplay at the dollar tree. Pretty Legit. I really need to get started on my own cosplay though, I need to:
-get the fabric for my kiki cosplay
-wait for the parts to arrive from the mail for ebay and then make the thing for fem tony cosplay (iron-man)
-pay for my fanime badge. GAH.

So much to get done, lordie.

So I have recently went to the forums and what not of this beautiful deviantart and I went to thumbshare. I submitted some of my newer pieces for critique.

I don't know why I did, I don't take critique well ;n;. And thats how I felt this time when both critiques all said I needed to study anatomy. I was shocked and looked at my art saying how dare they critique my art. ._. then I looked at my art and looked hard, none of my art had good poses or angles. The faces are a bit off kilter. The uniqueness is lacking. This made me realize that I should do something to change that.
Then as if by some struck of luck this tutorial popped up into my subs.

This tutorial really just made me so happy. It made so much sense and I just started drawing and they looked ten times better.
Before I drew angles I would kind of wing and hope it looks good. There was some drawings I've been so dissapointed in and wouldn't put it up because I thought it looked so bad. I'm going to upload the afters sometime.




I look at all these drawings and I analyze them again and I see how bad the angles are lol and how wierd they look. Like the alien boobs omg, they look like two awkwardly shaped melons on there. Also too, Belles fingers make me want to cringe. Now that I'm trying to actually focus on the anatomy, it seems like its getting better. I'm happy

So I currently have some numerous amounts of OC'S. Here I am going to clarify them all.

So first off we have the Geisha.

The geisha's real name doesn't matter. She just goes by geisha because she has heard it so frequently that she has just accepted it.
Skin color: Beige but the face is painted white and lips are painted red.
Eyes: Brown
Hair Color: Black, or very dark brown
Now age:16
Height: 5'2
Weight: 110
Backstory: Geisha was a young girl in a abusive household in japan. She ran away at a young age of 7 in 1753. She lived on the streets and worked in factories to pay for food. Eventually she turned 14 and was found starving when she had temporarily broken her arm and couldn't work. Someone offered her a job in a geisha house and she accepted. So far this is where she is at age 16.
Note: I apologize for any incorrect information about japan or geishas, my knowledge is somewhat limited.

Next we have Lavender.

Skin Color: Beige to tan
Height: 5'8
Weight: 124
Favorite Colour: Lavender, Bright Red, and purple
Eye Colour: Technically brown but loves to wear circle lenses.
Lavender, though looking like a bada** right here loves to look girly and wearing loose flowy dresses as well.
Interests: Ballroom dancing, blogging, being silly.
Sexual Orientation: Not sure
Backstory: Lavender is the biproduct of a distant mother and loving father and grandmother. When Lavender was born, her mother was already having problems with her dad, there was even rumors that her mother was cheating on her father with this rich business man. Her mother disappeared one day and no one has heard from her since. Lavender constantly hides her emotions and is always viewed as seemingly happy. She met Ginger in her art class. There was some age difference but they shared a mutual love for many things.

Now we have Molly aka Ginger

Age: 15
Gender: Female
Height:5'5
Weight: 130
Eye Colour: Green
Hair Colour: Orange
Sexual Orientation: Not sure
Interests: Fiddling, Reading, Knitting.
Note: Ginger is very immature. She is at first very quiet till she becomes great friends with someone. She is commonly depicted in comfortable clothing and graphic shirts.
Backstory: Ginger is an irish/american child. Her parents married in ireland but the marriage took a turn when 2 years ago they decided to divorce. She is stuck in a custody battle between her parents and constantly feels frustrated. She met Lavender a few months ago when her mother gained temporary custody. They met in their art class. She may or may not be developing feelings for Lavender.
Extra Facts about her:
She is your average teenager going through puberty is in many ways: angsty, rebellious. Though in some ways she's not. She loves to play the fiddle because her father's (the irish side) grandma taught her when she was very little.
She is at times very shy and keeps to herself but can open when she finds something in common with someone.

Here we have the star crossed lovers, Lunar and Re.

Lunar and Re are lovers who can only come together on certain days of the year. This pertains to eclipses.
